Trial of Socrates

Can an idea destroy a city?

In Plato's "Apology" Socrates says that people are acting as if his ideas can destroy a city. How can or can't it? And how can you prove if you can or can't?

Ideas can destroy anything because they spread from person to person and are bulletproof. Nobody can kill and idea.
