What happens in the scene at the Rainbow?

The crowd at the Rainbow continues to help Marner come up with a plan of how to look for his gold, and the thief. Marner, who is still in shock, sits and listens as the landlord and several others discusses how to handle appointing a deputy, informing the constable, and investigating the robbery.
