Is the character of Ismene in the play Antigone a coward?

In my opinion, Ismene is not meant to be seen as a coward, although, there are likely those who perceive her this way. I distinctly believe she is meant to be seen as knowing her place as a woman..... the good girl, who has no wish to make waves, especially against the male head of her household.
