What values does the book's society embrace and encourage

Answers
The values advocated and embraced by the society in the book are "sameness" and control.  Every aspect of the people's lives are controlled, even down to their emotions.  They are given pills in order to suppress their emotions.  The idea of everyone being 'equal' in a sense, makes for the 'sameness', which is bad because it doesn't allow a sense of individuality.  The idea of family is destroyed based on the system of control.
