is child labour the root cause for children being illiterate?

Yes. Child labour is the root cause for children being illiterate as many children are forced to work below the age of 15 and are presurized to work and not to study. This mainly happens due to some family problems which affect the childhood of the children.

no....it is just the fact that people and nations cannot pay for education. although the child labour is one of the causes, i would say that it is just a sidenote of poverty.  because nations and their people are so poor, they are forced into child labour.
