The concepts taught in this resource were derived from the Curriculum Standards for Social Studies and/or the National Council on Economic Education National Standards. It is divided into four parts. Part I introduces basic concepts and terminology. Part II provides opportunities to explore and apply the concepts to personal experiences and global issues. Part III comprises interdisciplinary activities in the fields of language arts, social studies, science, math, and the arts. Part IV involves research of the concepts and principles of economics actually in operation in current events.
