First off, there are more characters to choose from, good and evil, four player online play, and a lot more interactivity. The X-Men and the Magneto-lead Brotherhood of Evil must unite to stop Apocalypse from destroying everything in his path. Can the X-Men and the Brotherhood unite peacefully to save the Earth from the wrath of Apocalypse?
Audio/Visual: The graphics are pretty much the same as the first game but this time the game takes you to more locations which provides a variety of environments to play in. From the desert, to Antarctica to caves to underground bunkers, the environments keep things interesting. There's a nice handful of vocal talent participating in the game. Patrick Stewart, who plays Professor X in the movies, voices the Prof in the game while Lou Diamond Phillips voices Forge and John DiMaggio, a voice over veteran, voices Juggernaut.
Controls: The controls are pretty much the same as the previous game. You control one character while having three other characters in your group. You can switch from one character easily using the directional pad, depending on what ability you need to get past a certain point. The other buttons you use to punch, jump, pick up/throw, smash with the triggers being used for health and other character abilities. Once you start getting more super powers, you hold the R2 trigger and press a buttons to unleash it on unsuspecting foes.
Hotness: Even though single player mode is a great experience, co-op mode is the illest. You can actually go through the story with three other friends, either offline or online, without the screen splitting at all. For the old school heads, it's like playing Gauntlet at the arcade with your boys.
Wackness: The graphics could have been better, but it's a decent job. Hopefully next time they'll spend more time upgrading the look of the game, since they now have the game play down.
