The Las Vegas ethnic chambers of commerce have teamed up with MGM Mirage to hold the city's first Women of Color Conference.
The Aug. 3 event will bring together the women of
Las Vegas
(and a few men) to explore various issues concerning women including financial strategies, health, work/home life balance and career building.
The day-long event includes several workshops, a networking breakfast sponsored by In Business Las Vegas and an evening reception. Most workshops will be held twice so that participants can attend all of them.
The conference will be held at the Cox Pavilion at UNLV and will begin at 7:30 a.m. with registration. The event is sponsored by MGM Mirage, American Family Insurance and Nevada Power.
Tickets are $130 per person and include breakfast and lunch.
