NEW YORK, Nov 1 (Reuters) - The Detroit Red Wings maintained their red-hot form with a 4-1 road victory over the Calgary Flames on Thursday to record their seventh win in a row.

Henrik Zetterberg scored twice, his 11th and 12th of the season to take his points streak to 14 games.

"We're playing good as a team," Zetterberg told reporters. "When you play with good players, good things are going to happen."

Calgary's Alex Tanguay opened the scoring 5:28 into the first period, but the next four scores belonged to Detroit.

Jiri Hudler leveled at 1-1 on a powerplay less than four minutes later and Zetterberg put the Wings ahead at 10:44.

Daniel Cleary scored the only goal of the second period before Zetterberg wrapped up the scoring 13:18 into the third period with a powerplay goal.

Red Wings netminder Chris Osgood made 26 saves, stopping 10 shots in the second period and 12 more in the third after giving up the first-period goal to Tanguay.

The win completed a successful foray into Canada for the Wings, who won in Edmonton on Tuesday and Vancouver on Sunday.

"Just the way we won these games, we grinded out these wins and stuck to our game plan," Osgood told reporters.

"We didn't deviate like we might have in the past."

*Marco Sturm's goal in overtime gave the Boston Bruins a 4-3 home victory over the Buffalo Sabres.

*The Ottawa Senators took a 5-0 lead into the third period against Atlanta before being pulled back to 5-4, with the Thrashers' Ilya Kovalchuk scoring a hat-trick. But Daniel Alfredsson scored with less than 30 seconds left to seal the 6-4 win for the Sens.

*The Colorado Avalanche scored three second-period goals to overcome Sidney Crosby's two first-period strikes for Pittsburgh in a 3-2 home win over the Penguins.

*Chris Drury and Michal Rozsival scored the goals and Henrik Lundqvist made 31 saves in the New York Rangers' 2-0 home win over the Washington Capitals.

*Rick DiPietro's 28 saves sparked the New York Islanders to a 4-0 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning. (Writing by Gene Cherry in Salvo, North Carolina)
