Kaipo-Noa Kaheaku-Enhada ran for 101 yards and scored twice in the fourth quarter to lead Navy to a 31-20 win over Air Force on Saturday before a record crowd of 37,615 at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
With Navy down 20-17 early in the fourth quarter, Kaheaku-Enhada scored on a 2-yard run on fourth down, putting Navy ahead 24-20 with 13:01 to play.
Then, on Navy's next series, Kaheaku-Enhada broke loose on a 78-yard touchdown run to put the Midshipmen up 31-20 with 9:18 to play.
The runs turned the tide in a game that saw the teams trade the lead through the first three quarters, and gave Navy (3-2) its fifth straight win over the Falcons (3-2).
The Mids also took a leg up in the quest for the Commander-In-Chief's Trophy, which goes to the winner of the football competition between Navy, Air Force and Army. Navy has won the trophy four years in a row and has now won 10 straight service academy games.
The nation's top rushing team, Navy rolled to 302 yards on the ground and had 381 total yards.
Air Force outgained the Mids with 474 yards, but were held without a score three times inside Navy's 20-yard line.
For Navy, Zerb Singleton gained 65 yards and scored on a 12-yard run and Eric Kettani had 58 yards for the Mids. Reggie Campbell scored Navy's first touchdown on a 37-yard run for a 7-3 lead and Singleton's run put the Mids ahead 14-10 at the half.
O.J. Washington had career-highs with four catches and 79 yards, including a 53-yard pass from Kaheaku-Enhada that set up Navy's go-ahead touchdown.
Joey Bullen's 29-yard field goal staked Navy to a 17-13 lead before Chad Hall's 5-yard run put Air Force in front, 20-17, late in the third period.
Falcons quarterback Shaun carney completed 18 of 23 passes for 237 yards, and ran for 63 more. Jim Ollis had 73 yards rushing and Chad Hall added 29 yards rushing and caught eight passes for 108 yards. He scored both Falcon touchdowns on runs of 16 and 5 yards.
Harrison had kicks of 21 and 28 yards, his 28-yarder being the only first quarter score.
