was sworn in as the new clerk of the court for the Nevada Supreme Court earlier this month.
Lindeman
succeeds
Janette
Bloom
, who held the constitutional position since 1988.

The clerk of the court is responsible for all Supreme Court files and documents, manages the court's caseload and dockets, coordinates public hearings and releases court decisions.
• The American Bar Association's law student division needs about 180 lawyers and judges to serve as oral argument judges for the 2007-08 Las Vegas Regional National Appellate Advocacy Competition on March 6-8 at U.S. District Court (333 Las Vegas Blvd. South).
The Nevada Bar grants instructional credit for this activity, as long as lawyers file Form 5. Instructional credit goes toward continuing legal education credit.

The new term began Jan. 1 and will end Dec. 30, 2012.
The commission interviews and nominates attorneys for vacant District Court and Supreme Court positions.
