6:19 a.m. Staten Island Borough President James Molinaro will join commuters on the first day of the S89 bus service through Bayonne, New Jersey, starting at the bus stop at Forest and Richmond avenues on Staten Island.

7 a.m. Hawaiian Tropic Zone models will hand out 5,000 free MetroCards and drink coupons at Penn Station at the 34th Street entrance between Seventh and Eighth avenues and at Grand Central Terminal, Vanderbilt Avenue and 42nd Street.

8 a.m. Council woman Gale Brewer will join parents, teachers and students for the first day of classes at the Renaissance School for Music and Art, 100 West 84th Street.

11 a.m. Officials will make a public statement announcing a subway poster campaign urging Sept. 11 rescue, recovery and cleanup workers to register for workers' compensation at the south entrance to PATH trains at the World Trade Center site on Church Street.

11 a.m. UNICEF and Family Health International will announce plans for expanded HIV treatment and prevention to assist women and children at the UNICEF House’s Danny Kaye Visitors Center, 3 U.N. Plaza.

11 a.m. The fire department will join Rep. Vito Fossella to announce the expansion of treatment and monitoring locations for active and retired firefighters whose health has been affected by Sept. 11 at the World Trade Center Treatment Center, 1688 Victory Boulevard on Staten Island.

11:30 a.m. Rep. Joseph Crowley and other lawmakers will discuss how residents and business owners will benefit from federal disaster relief aid at 48-17 65th Place in Queens.

12:15 p.m. Opponents of the Khalil Gibran International Academy will make a statement on the City Hall steps.
