Cadish, a shareholder
of Hale Lane Peek Dennison and Howard, was appointed District Court judge in
Nevada
's 8th Judicial District, Department 6,
Gov.
Jim
Gibbons
announced last week.
She replaces
Judge
Joseph
Bonaventure
, who retired from the bench.
Cadish
's
Las Vegas
practice has focused primarily on litigation and employment law. She was recently appointed lawyer representative to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
"I greatly appreciate

Gibbons
' confidence in my abilities,"
Cadish
said in a statement. "I will work hard to maintain the integrity of the rule of law in Clark County. I will see to it that everyone is treated fairly in my court and that my decisions are based upon law and the facts of the case."
Cadish
received her law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1989, where she was awarded the Order of the Coif. In 1991, following a two-year clerkship for

Cadish
passed the Nevada Bar Exam.
She rose quickly in the ranks of Hale Lane and was named shareholder in 2000. In her March 23 In Business Las Vegas Q&A,
Cadish
said she wanted to be a judge.

Cadish
has been involved in several legal organizations, including the State Bar of Nevada and the Clark County Bar Association.
