If forced to choose to between wealth and fame, I would take wealth. Fame seems to have many more problems associated with it.         

 


If someone will be your friend only if you do things you are not comfortable with, you are better off having them as an enemy rather a friend. 

 


Few things are most satisfying than the realization that you have made the right decision about an important matter.


If a series a tasks seems to be taking too long, try doing them in a different order. Curiously, this will often speed things up. Also, take advantage of multi-tasking (multiple tasks that be done at the same time) whenever possible.


Most of the so-called blogs on the Web today are junk -- riddled with misspelled words, bad grammar, poor sentence structure, and/or gratuitous profanity.

 


Awkward conservatives are usually targeted and savaged by the cultural elite. Just ask Dan Quayle and Steve Forbes.

 


Attorney: "Now, when your husband died, was there a wake?"

Widow: (After thinking for a few seconds) "No, he was dead!" 

 


When zealotry comes in the front door, common sense goes out the back door.


Unlike some countries, the U.S. has no laws limiting how many children a family can have. Instead, it enacts laws that make having children very costly and inconvenient.         

 


Very often, I find myself fondly reminiscing about the days of my youth, when I was the served instead of the server. 

 


If states didn't have state songs, birds, mottos, etc., I serious doubt that the quality of life of their residents would be adversely affected in the least. That's why I can't understand why state legislatures waste so much time on such drivel.


The time you waste admiring your work could be better spent improving it.


The music that plays when Windows XP loads up sounds like a portion of Lionel Richie's Sail On.

 


If we're going to refer to eyeglasses as the third and fourth eyes, then we should call cell phones the "third ear."

 


One who is unable or unwilling to clean anything up should be especially careful to never mess anything up. 

 


Sometimes I don't look because I'm afraid of what I might see.
