Start lining up on the Bowery: the New Museum's grand reopening on Dec. 1 will be celebrated with 30 consecutive hours of continuous free admission. Feel like viewing Ugo Rondinone's culture Hell, Yes! at 3 a.m.? Tickets are required and can be ordered at www.newmuseum.org. Paper tickets can be picked up at will call starting at 11 a.m. on December 1st.

"Target 30 Free Hours" Celebrates the Opening of the First Art Museum Ever Constructed Downtown!

WHEN: Beginning at noon on Saturday, December 1st, and continuing overnight and through the following day until Sunday, December 2nd at 6 p.m.

WHERE: The New Museum, 235 Bowery, (at Prince Street between Stanton and Rivington Streets, one and a half blocks south of Houston Street) in New York City.

HOW: TICKETS REQUIRED! To avoid long lines and guarantee free admission via Target 30 Free Hours, the public may obtain tickets for the event starting Nov. 15th at www.newmuseum.org. Paper tickets can be picked up at will call starting at 11 a.m. on December 1st.

WHAT: The New Museum's grand reopening to the public will be celebrated with 30 consecutive hours of continuous free admission, sponsored by Target. This marathon will inaugurate the much-anticipated new home of the Museum - the remarkable, glimmering stacked-box building designed by internationally celebrated avant-garde architects Sejima + Nishisawa/SANAA. This event will also launch the Museum's exciting array of exhibitions, installations, performances and year-round program of bold new art and new ideas. Target 30 Free Hours will draw thousands of people to the Bowery, one of New York City's most storied thoroughfares.

WHY: The New Museum is celebrating its 30th anniversary with the inauguration of its stunning new building, a work of architecture already proclaimed a New York landmark. Founded in 1977, the New Museum is the first and only contemporary art museum in New York City and among the most respected internationally, with a curatorial program unrivaled in the United States in its global scope, boldness and daring
