Character Descriptions

This section provides a short description of all the major characters in the book. This can be printed out as a study guide for students, used as a "key" for leading a class discussion, or you can jump to the quiz/homework section to find worksheets that incorporate these descriptions into a variety of question formats.

Characters

Roland Deschain - He is on a quest to find the Dark Tower, the nexus of all worlds. During his quest, he has been joined by Susannah Dean, Eddie Dean, Jake Chambers, all of New York, and a billy-bumbler named Oy, forming a ka-tet.

Susan Delgado - She is promised as a gilly, or concubine, to the mayor of a town.

Susannah Dean - She lost her legs after a subway accident in New York City before being pulled into Roland's world.
