Objective

Two couples manage to get on board Speedbird 070 with German made grenades and initiate an act of terrorism.

The objective of this lesson is to gain a better understanding of terrorists and what motivates a person or group of persons to commit an act of terrorism.

Lesson

1) Initiate a class discussion on the varying methods used by terrorists. How were Ingrid and her group able to so easily gain access to the plane with such lethal weapons? In what ways does this story compare to real life acts of terrorism? What examples can you think of?

2) Break into groups of three or four and discuss the factors that motivate a person or people to become terrorists.

3) In short essay form, analyze how Ingrid and her group managed to distract the people around them. What tools did they use to minimize the attention paid to their luggage...
