Lesson

Lead the class in a discussion of point of view in literature. Begin with a definition and a clarification of the different perspectives. What can the students observe about the point of view in this novel? Can they distinguish why this point of view is so obvious? How does the author use the point of view through the eyes and thoughts of one character, Beatrice? Have them point out some examples of the first person perspective and share with the class.
