Lesson

1) Class Discussion: What was a spirit? What was another word for spirit? Why did spirits exist? When would Le Ly's family tell stories about the dead? Who were the dead people that they told stories about? What was the common pattern in each story? What differentiated the different spirits? Why did Le Ly compare the spirit world to a life in a distant city or exotic land across the sea?
