Minnow was walking out of George Washington High school head for the bus stop when he saw the football team practicing on the field, racing back and forth across the grass with the red towers of the Golden Gate Bridge rising behind the school. Before Minnow knew it, he was sitting in the bleachers with his sketchbook in his hands.

She was not an American citizen and she was afraid if she was thought to be disloyal she would be taken away.
