Kory-Kory - This person is about twenty-five years old, and lives in the house where the deserting sailors are staying.

Mehevi, Chief Mehevi, King Mehevi - This person is the highest-ranking warrior chief in the Typee valley.

Fayaway - This person is the close companion - and later the love interest...
