Class Discussion: What is this book about? Who is Ned Kelly? What is a folk hero?

Small Group Activity: Discuss the purpose of a folk hero. Who is a folk hero from our culture? Create a Venn diagram comparing Ned to your chosen folk hero.

Class Discussion: Create a large Venn diagram comparing American folk heroes chosen by the small groups and Ned Kelly.

Homework: Read the story of Robin Hood. Compare and contrast what you know of Ned Kelly with Robin Hood.
