Jim Hawkins

Billy Bones

This pirate is an enemy to the old sailor who lives at the protagonist’s parent’s inn. His name symbolizes the dark and bestial sides of piracy in the story.

Squire Trelawney

This character is a local Bristol nobleman. He arranges the voyage to the island. He is easily tricked by the pirates due to his lack of “street smarts.”
