"Switzerland" Unnamed Narrator

This character is a young person who had an influential friend as a teenager who was sexually involved with a much older person. Years later, this character is reminded of the influential friend in the actions and attitudes of the character's own child.

Soraya

This character is a teenager who gets involved with a much older Dutch person while going to boarding school in Switzerland away from the character's parents. This character eventually briefly goes missing, prompting the character's parent to come to Switzerland to collect the character.

Brodman
