Class Discussion: What does Glass say is the hardest part of a book to write? What might inspire Glass as she writes? How does she use personal experience in her works? Did Glass plan out her first novel, Three Junes? How much planning goes into her writing? Do characters in her works ever take on a life of their own? Why did she write short stories only at first? What gave her the impetus to begin writing a novel? What authors does she admire? How do they influence her writing?
Activity: Create a chart or poster that shows these things: books Glass has written, any awards she won for writing, what critics say about her writing, and what different genres she has written in...
