Embroider/Create a letter
Hester is very good at needlework. Take a piece of felt and cut it out in the shape of whatever letter you like. Pick something positive for the letter to stand for, instead of something negative.
Find an authentic early American recipe and make a Puritan treat to share.
Find seashells or other interesting things from nature, as Pearl does. Think about what other kinds of toys or playthings you might have if you were a child in colonial America.
Research early American portraiture and then draw or paint a portrait of yourself (or one of the characters) in the same style.
In the spirit of Hester's charity, donate some used clothes to a thrift store or some canned food to a food shelf.
