Movie Review

Ingrid Bergman and Anthony Quinn starred in a much-altered film adaptation, also called The Visit, directed by Bernhard Wicki in 1964. Students should take the opportunity to watch the film, either in class, or outside class and write a brief paper comparing the adaptation for extra credit.

Draw a Character

Have students draw their interpretation of a character from the play. Artistic ability is not important, but their drawings must reflect the type of costume worn by the character, whether the character is fat or thin, bald, prim, or slovenly. What colors do the characters wear?

Costume Day

Students should research the period style of dress from the play and create a version of a costume that resembles this period. Students can bring costumes to class for a costume day.
