Character Descriptions

This section provides a short description of all the major characters in the book. Characters

Sigmund Freud - This individual was an Austrian psychiatrist in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century who developed the practice of psychoanalysis.

Psychoanalysis - This is the technique of investigating and curing psychological disorders.

Unconscious - This is the name for the part of our mind that is underneath the surface of conscious thought and is not accessible, except in dreams and memories to the conscious mind.

Id - This is the name for the most primal part of the psyche that is present form the earliest ages.
