Objective
The objective of this lesson is to discuss Cal's new place, and what is revealed about the way he is fitting in and acclimating to his new life. Cal used to work for the Chicago Police Department. He leaves the United States and buys a ten-acre property in Western Ireland.

Class Discussion: What animal life does Cal have around his new place? How does he enjoy the wildlife? How does Cal spend his days? How is what he is doing different from what he did for the police department? How and why is his health improving? What does Cal enjoying looking at around his place? How does Cal enjoy the pace of living? Did Cal expect to be welcomed to Ardnaketly? How might people in a small village feel about newcomers? How have people been neighborly? How have the old guys at the pub accepted...
