Create a Robot

Each student will describe a robot of their creation to perform duties of their choice. This could be either serious or humorous [e.g., a robot who reads and does homework].

Word Extraction

Allow five minutes for students to make as many words of 4 letters or more from the title, THE ROBOTS OF DAWN.

Make a Collage

Make copies of spaceships and bring to class to create a collage on the wall.

Create a Mystery

Students will work out the clues to a murder and challenge other students to solve the puzzle.

Going into Hyperspace

View segments from STAR WARS or STAR TREK movies where the spaceships go into hyperspace and discuss the effectiveness of the visual effects.

Robbie Where Are You?

View a segment or two from LOST IN SPACE to discuss an intelligent robot that is more like Giskard than Daneel.
