Object Descriptions

This section provides a short description of all the major objects in the book. This can be printed out as a study guide for students, used as a "key" for leading a class discussion, or you can jump to the quiz/homework section to find worksheets that incorporate these descriptions into a variety of question formats.

Objects

The Red Tent - Thist is where women of Rebecca's family spend the three days of their periods. Here, they rest, eat, and celebrate their fertility. No men are allowed here.

Canaan - This is Jacob's childhood home. Rebecca and Isaac still live there.

Mamre - This is where Rebecca lives in Canaan.

Haran - This is the homeland of Leah, Rachel, Bilhah, and Zilpah. They live there with their father, Laban, until Jacob arrives.
