Lesson

1) Library research: Have the students research the author of "The Queen's Fool", Philippa Gregory. Explore her other literary works as well as her personal background. Take a look at interviews, the author's website or blog, critical essays, etc. to gain information on her writing and where "The Queen's Fool" fits in with her other novels.

2) Presentation: Have students get into pairs and prepare a presentation, using their research, on Gregory and her canon. Have each group read an excerpt from different novels written by Gregory during their presentation. At the end of the presentations, have students compare the tone...
