Lesson

Lead the class in a discussion about Lyndon Johnson. What did the students know about Lyndon Johnson before reading this book? What do they know about Lyndon Johnson now? Why was Lyndon Johnson destined for greatness? What were Johnson's character traits that would make him a great man? Do the students think Johnson was a great visionary, leader, or both?

Divide the class into small groups and have them research more about Lyndon Johnson's life prior to his becoming President of the United States. Have them prepare PowerPoint presentations to be shared with the rest of the class...
