1. What is the Moonstone?

The Moonstone is a beautiful and flawed diamond that was stolen from the statue of a moon good in a remote area of India.

2. How did the Moonstone get into Rachel's possession?

The diamond was taken by John Herncastle during the storming of Seringapatam in 1799. When he died, he bequeathed the diamond to his niece, Rachel Verinder.

3. Why is Franklin worries about the diamond?

Franklin thinks there is some conspiracy surrounding the diamond because he has been followed ever since removing the diamond from the bank. Why did Herncastle leave the diamond to Rachel on the condition that Julia must be alive?
