A Sicilian Life
Based on the book's setting, choose 3 things that you found interesting about Sicily in the late 1800s/early 1900s. Describe what kind of an experience you think it would be to live in that place and time period. Would you like it? Why or why not?
Interview with a Prince
Write out an interview with the Prince, including both the questions and his responses. The interview can take place at any time during the story and you can use the information in the book to help speculate the Prince's answers.
Split the class up into pairs for this activity. Have the students read a list of the names of characters from the book. After each one, their partner will say the first word or words that they think of. They will then reverse positions and compare responses.
