The students will be able to understand and apply the concepts of a forced situation.

Lesson

Possible Activities:

• Have the students think*pair*share the meaning of having no choice in a situation and how this applies to this situation. Think*Pair*Share is an activity in which the students think on their own about the proposed question, then they pair with another classmate and discuss their answers to arrive at a consensus, finally each pair of students share their answer with the class.

• Encourage the students to write a paragraph about whether or not they agree with Dr. Ngema's decision to force Laurence and Frank to be roommates.

• Brainstorm a list of alternate things ways Frank could have responded to the situation of learning he was to share his room.
