2. Class Discussion: Discuss the impact of "bank runs" and "currency drains" on an economy.

3. Brainstorm: How could a federally-controlled monetary system be made more effective.

4. Homework: Read for understanding about the climate that existed in the US economy which prompted officials to develop a federally-based monetary system.
