Bishop recognizes the unidentified woman as Susan Martin, the wife of Teddy Martin. Mr. Martin is a famous businessman with a lot of money and clout. The officers decide to keep this body's discovery off of the police radio so as to not alert the media. The police officers know that the media will create more trouble for them.

2. What do the police officers discover when they go to Teddy Martin's home to inform him of his wife's murder?

Teddy Martin lives in a mansion and the officers find nothing out of the ordinary when they arrive. Upon speaking to Mr. Martin, he reveals that his wife has been kidnapped. He tells the officers that he came home one night to find his wife gone. He received a phone call from the kidnappers, demanding half a million dollars. Mr. Martin gives them the money but he wife is never released. While listening to his story, Rossi goes outside and looks around the property. She discovers what appears to be the murder weapon, a ball-peen hammer, in the ivy. She gets her partner, Detective Tomsic, who declares that they "got this guy." The officers believe that Teddy Martin killed his wife.
