The Alex Rider series is a collection of spy novels by British author Anthony Horowitz. The first novel, "Stormbreaker", was first released in the U.K. in 2000 and was adapted into a motion picture in 2006. Alex Rider, the protagonist of the novel and the series, is a fourteen-year-old boy who exhibits exceptional skills and intelligence as a British undercover agent. In this lesson, students are introduced to the book and will research and discuss author Anthony Horowitz.
