Modern Akathists (Easter Night)

As a class, think of three things, one in each of people, places, or things to write songs about. Then make up two rules about the songs, such as the song must rhyme or the song has to have an adverb ending in -ly on every other line. Every student is to write a poem or song about one of the people, places, or things and according to the rules that are set by the students. On a voluntary basis, they can read or perform the song.

Older Adult Interviews (A Boring Story)

Partner up and create at least ten interview questions for an older adult about aging. The instructor can decide if it is necessary to pre-approve of the questions. Have the students interview an older adult. In class, have the students share their experiences.
