Draw a Setting
Allow students the opportunity to draw a setting of any story of their choosing, using the text as a guide.
Cast a Film
Give students the opportunity to cast one of the short stories from the collection as a film. What actors would they choose to play each character and why?
Ask students to look in their local newspaper for an article that involves some aspect of the stories and bring it to class. They will present it in front of the class and explain why it relates to the stories.
Draw a Character
Have students draw their interpretation of a character from the stories. Artistic ability is not important, but their drawings must reflect the type of costume worn by the character, whether the character is fat or thin, bald, prim or slovenly. What colors do the characters wear?
