Throughout the novel "Still Missing", Annie's mother Lorraine tries to get Annie to sell her story as a movie deal. What movies have been made about real-life events like those in the novel? Give students the opportunity to watch one of these films and write a brief paper discussing its correlation to the novel.
Ask students to look in their local newspaper for an article that involves some aspect of the novel and bring it to class. They will present it in front of the class and explain why it relates to the novel.
