Object Descriptions

This section provides a short description of all the major objects in the book. This can be printed out as a study guide for students, used as a "key" for leading a class discussion, or you can jump to the quiz/homework section to find worksheets that incorporate these descriptions into a variety of question formats.

Objects

Pankot, India - This is the hill town which once housed a British regiment during British colonial times, where Lucy and Tusker live.

The Lodge (Annex) - This is an older bungalow with a barely functional kitchen where Lucy and Tusker live.

Smith's Hotel - This is a well-known establishment in the town, rundown and in need of repair, now overshadowed by its competitor across the street.

The Shiraz Hotel - This is a new high-rise building with no personality where the flight crews stay overnight.
