Without the flu, Arthur’s death surely would have garnered a lot of attention in the news and in tabloids. There would have been speculation about his relationships, what was going on in his life and with his health. Otherwise, however, there is no connection between Arthur’s heart attack and the impending outbreak of disease.

2. How is Jeevan’s narrative impacted by the outbreak of the Georgia Flu? What might Jeevan have become if the pandemic had not occurred?

Prior to this, Jeevan worked as an entertainment journalist and paparazzo. Trying to save Arthur might have led him back into that world. Not only would he have intimate details of Arthur’s final moments, but he transitioned from being someone who used to observe and report on the lives of famous people to interacting with them.
