Chapter One

Rose finds Lissa on campus using their mental bond. The objective of this lesson will focus on character relationships in "Spirit Bound".

Lesson

1) Class Discussion: Rose is on campus of St. Vladimir's Academy and she uses her mental bond with Lissa Dragomir to find her. Discuss with students the bond Rose and Lissa share, how it came about, and how they use it. Discuss as well the other aspects of their bond that Rose experiences and how they impact her life. Discuss as well the friendship between Rose and Lissa and how each benefits from it.

2) Character Relationships: Define relationship. Ask students to discuss in an essay or with a partner the relationship between Rose and her friend, Lissa. Ask students to focus on the unusual aspects of this friendship as well as the more mundane elements.
