In the Author's Note, Patricia McCormick gives several figures estimating the number of children drawn into human trafficking worldwide. Conduct research and create a diagram or chart that indicates where the majority of these children come from, where they end up, and their mortality rates.
Several main characters in Sold disappear or die in the course of the narrative. Write an obituary for one of these characters and discuss their memorable qualities.
