Sia

This character is the protagonist and narrator of the novel. She is a seventeen-year-old girl who awakens in Chapter 1 with complete memory loss as to who she is and where she lives. She lives as a homeless person for over a week before she is reunited with her family.

Janet

This character is the protagonist's mother. She is horrified that her daughter lived among the homeless during her absence and later battles her own alcoholism in a rehabilitation center.
