Complete a short story of your own employing the themes, narrative style, and setting from one or several of the stories in the anthology.

Look in your local newspaper for an article that involves some aspect of the collection and bring it to class. You will present it in front of the class and explain why it relates to the book.

Obituary

Write a brief obituary for one of the characters from the anthology. Who are the friends and family left behind when this character dies?

Draw a Character

Draw your interpretation of a character from the anthology. How do you envision the attire of the character? How does the narrator describe their physical appearance?

Local Cuisine

Prepare a favorite dish from the anthology, or conduct research and develop a dish that reflects the setting, characters and themes from the book.
