Fun Classroom Activities
The 20 enjoyable, interactive classroom activities that are included will help your students understand the text in amusing ways. Fun Classroom Activities include group projects, games, critical thinking activities, brainstorming sessions, writing poems, drawing or sketching, and more that will allow your students to interact with each other, be creative, and ultimately grasp key concepts from the text by "doing" rather than simply studying.
1. Posters
Create three posters about RICHARD SHARPE AND THE SIEGE OF BADAJOZ using a variety of media (chalk, paint, markers, watercolors, etc.). Depict one scene of Sharpe talking to Teresa about Hakeswill framing Sharpe; a scene of Sharpe, Harper, Teresa and Hakeswill in Antonia's bedroom, and a scene of Sharpe with leading the forlorn hope.
2. Screenplay
Write a screenplay for one of the chapters in RICHARD SHARPE AND THE SIEGE OF BADAJOAZ. Explain how the screenplay differs from the novel.
