Charlie - This character is part of the human couple at the center of the play and does not understand his wife's need to connect with the past and explore the world they have not seen. This character is not adventurous and is uncomfortable with his wife and her desires.
Leslie - This character is a lizard who first watches the human couple. This character is a bit more fearful, defensive, and mistrusting than his mate. This character has prejudices against others and acts on instinct, like an animal.
